I was first introduced to The Masterson Method® while searching for ways to help my own anxious horse, Fergus, release physical tension. What I witnessed during those early sessions was transformative—not just in Fergus’s ability to deeply relax and let go, but in the profound connection and trust that grew between us. Our relationship flourished in a way I hadn’t experienced before. I knew I had to share this with others.
Everything about The Masterson Method® resonated with the work I already do with people—both in human leadership development and equine-assisted leadership. At its core, this approach emphasises connection, presence, and awareness. It’s about working with the horse, not on the horse—honouring their subtle responses, listening deeply, and allowing them to guide the process.
Horses know when they are being truly heard. When we pay attention to the signals they so often use to mask discomfort or pain, the results can be remarkable: reduced stress, improved performance, increased mobility, better balance, and an overall sense of wellbeing and softness.
It’s been an incredible honour to walk this path, learning from each horse and human I meet. I look forward to helping many more wonderful equine partners...

• Relieving tension decreases resistance behavior,
making handling and training easier.

• range of motion is restored in the major joints
• increased range of motion improves length

overall gymnastic ability
